After a decade of dreaming Ako Early Learning was born in 2022 when Ingrid and Marc Brakenrig took a gamble and purchased a Central Tauranga preschool with "some room for improvement". After countless evenings and weekends spent reimagining and redeveloping Ako's learning landscapes it is now one of Central Tauranga's premium childcare centres. Ingrid is a passionate educator with not only a bachelor of teaching (ECE) but a post graduadate degree in early education as well as a master’s degree on the transition to school. It is through this study along with practical hands on experience in early learning centres across the country that led to the vision that is Ako today. Ingrid leads the team with a wealth of knowledge and a deep understaning of early education.
